I played the piano as a child and I wanted to return to it after a break of more than 2 decades.  I had always played classical piano as a child and my wish was to learn improvisation and jazz piano.  Gail is a patient, resourceful and highly motivational teacher.  She is teaching me the tools I need to develop my improvisational and jazz piano skills at my own speed whilst providing me with lots of fun tunes and pieces to play and apply them.  I am enjoying playing Gail’s choices of music which come from a wide range of genre and styles.  The pieces are hard enough that I find them challenging, but easy enough that I can play them reasonably well in a short period of time and as a result I am playing more and progressing faster than I expected.
